For many coffee enthusiasts, it is the drink that personifies the "spoilage" of coffee and the removal from its authentic flavor; for others it is a guilty pleasure; for most, however, it is a refreshing, refreshing and gentle drink, full of flavor and great texture: the reason for Frappuccino!

It is a fact that even the lovers of plain coffee can hardly resist the taste and especially the texture that Frappuccino leaves in the mouth, reminiscent of milkshake or granita. Although most have identified Frappuccino with large coffee chains and coffee shops in general, the truth is that we can prepare a delicious and enjoyable Frappuccino at home without any difficulty.

First of all, we can use the instant Freddoccino beverage, which is a Greek "invention", and which gives quick and easy, delicious and frozen drinks in a very short time. If, however, we choose to prepare our Frappuccino ourselves, the recipe is very simple: all we need is a good blender, suitable for ice grinding, milk and cold coffee.

Having the basis for Frappuccino and knowing the process that gives it its delicious texture, it is easy to experiment with various materials, playing with flavors such as caramel, biscuits, chocolate, coconut etc. A "hybrid" drink, such as Frappuccino, moreover, favors all sorts of experiments.

 

What do you need for a homemade Frappuccino?

  • 50ml very strong, cold coffee
  • 240ml cold milk
  • 80 ml of sweetened milk
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 60ml chocolate syrup
  • 120gr chocolate chunks

 

How is homemade Frappuccino prepared?

  • In a blender, add (in this order) coffee, milk, sweetened milk, vanilla, chocolate syrup and chocolate chips
  • Fill the blender with ice
  • Beat the blender until υour beverage is ready
  • Check the texture and fill with ice (if it is too thin) or with liquid (if it is too thick)
  • Serve in a glass with a wide straw

 

Tips for a delicious homemade Frappuccino

  • Based on coffee, milk, sweetened milk, vanilla and ice, you can experiment with various ingredients, ending up with different beverages. With caramel syrup and caramel pieces we can have a delightful Caramel Frappuccino!
  • Its texture has to be reminiscent of milkshake, with a sharp perception of ice on every sip. If it is too thick, add some milk or coffee, if it is too thin, add some ice.
  • It is good to use small ice cubes, as they will be easier to grind.
  • Before starting the recipe, make sure that our blender can grind ice cubes, possibly consulting the instruction book. If it does not have the proper blades or the required power, it can cause serious damage.
  • Use strong coffee, either espresso or filter. If you choose a filter, it is good to have used more coffee to extract it than usual.
  • You can make Frappuccino using possibly filter coffee that has gone out of hand and has cooled down.
  • Pay attention to calories: Frappuccino is not suitable for those on a diet.
  • The flavor and texture of Frappuccino is loved by children very much, as it reminiscent of milkshake, but it is not a suitable drink for younger ages due to caffeine. Adding an instant chocolate instead of coffee, like Monbana Ice, you can prepare a Frappuccino chocolate, suitable for every age!

 

During summer we can allow ourselves a few deviations from the diet we are following or even change our tastes if we are fans of the strong, plain coffee. A Frappuccino, either homemade or made with instant freddoccino, is the right opportunity to try something different.
