Single origin 100% Arabica from Colombia, from the MonteBlanco plantation in the Hulia region, at 1700 meters. The coffee trees of the rare Arabica Purple Caturra variety are processed with the peculiar Nectar Tropical Washed method: the beans are matured for about 8 days in water and tropical fruit nectar, absorbing flavors and aromas, while the addition of lactobacilli and saccharomyces (which are "fed" with brown sugar and molasses) accentuates the sweetness of the coffee. The result is a truly unexpected and adventurous coffee, with aromas of tropical fruits, peach and strawberry, and a finish reminiscent of vanilla and milk chocolate, along with delicate floral aromas.
