Delicious Crepes with Tiramisu filling!

Easy and quick crepes stuffed with coffee cream.

Something between street food and dessert, crepe is a delicacy that is sure to bring back sweet memories. Connected with the years of youth, with vacations or teenage outings, with a quick snack in hand after a drink or overnight, or for some, in its most gentle and delicate version, like breakfast, the crepe does not need special recommendations.

Although everyone definitely has a favorite hangout that makes their crepe exactly the way they prefer it, crepes are a simple dessert that are very easy to make at home, as they require only a little skill in wrapping and turning - but if done with friends, it can also be a cause for jokes and laughter.

Our crepes have a rich, delicious filling of cream-flavored coffee, based on fluffy mascarpone, and crunchy cookies, which is why we named them… tiramisu crepes! It is the best for a breakfast table, a brunch with friends or just as an easy and delicious sweet snack for our afternoon coffee.

 

What do you need for Tiramisu Flavoured Crepes?

For the crepes:

1 cup flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 γά cup of milk
2 eggs
3 tablespoons oil


For the filling:

4 teaspoons instant coffee
1 cup sour cream
Or a cup of mascarpone
Or a cup of powdered sugar
Or a teaspoon of honey or petimezi
Some water
Nuts, pieces of chocolate or caramel or biscuit etc.


How do are  Tiramisu Crepes prepared?


Prepare the filling:

Dissolve the instant coffee in a little water
In a bowl, put the sour cream, cheese, sugar and honey
Beat with a mixer and gradually add the coffee
Continue beating until the mixture is fluffy and relatively firm.


Prepare the crepes

Mix the "dry" elements, add the liquids and mix with the egg beater until you have a homogeneous mixture
Heat a pan over medium heat with a little butter
Pour a dose of mixture and spread it with quick movements.
When the crepe comes off, turn it over.
Repeat until the mixture is finished and keep them warm.


Serve:

In a spread crepe, put the filling and spread it with a spatula. Sprinkle with nuts or whatever else we use and wrap the crepes, which we serve hot.
Alternatively, we create layers of crepe leaves and filling, in order to make a "cake", which we sprinkle with biscuit pieces and nuts before serving.


Tips for delicious Tiramisu Crepes

For a better texture in the filling, the cream is good to be cold and the mascarpone at room temperature
Alternating the texture of the cream with the crunchy element of nuts, cookies, etc. will make the crepes more interesting.
To keep the crepes warm, place them on top of each other in a plate and put them in the oven
Pay attention to the temperature of the pan: high temperature will burn and brown our crepes, while at low temperature they will take longer to cook and dissolve
Turning the crepe requires a skill, acquired with time and habit.
Do not put a large dose of dough in the pan, as we want the dough to be thin, so that its taste does not dominate in the mouth.
We can reduce the amount of sugar in the filling mixture, for less sweet taste but also for fewer calories
For a lighter version, use a cream with lower fat.



 

The right crepe needs simple ingredients, good mood and dexterity - and of course, a little delicious tiramisu cream for the filling!
