The popular yogurt dessert acquires a coffee aroma.

Anyone who goes back to the summer of the early 2010s will remember that the ultimate culinary trend was none other than iced yogurt. The reinvention of Greek yogurt and its transformation into an enjoyable, frozen dessert, was a fashion that gained ground very quickly and on a very large scale. Of course, like any trend, frozen yoghurt had its ups and downs: the shops that offered it filled every nook and cranny, and the quality of the product plummeted. Now that the dust has settled, the right professionals are on the market, and iced yogurt is still just as refreshing and enjoyable.

However, it is very easy to make at home, without the knowledge of a confectioner - and in fact, we can flavor it with espresso, so that we have a tonic, refreshing dessert, ideal for hot summer afternoons!

Tips for a delicious Espresso Frozen Yoghurt

  • It is good to leave the dessert out of the freezer for 15-20 minutes before serving, so that it acquires the desired texture.
  • Although it is based on yoghurt, our dessert is not suitable for diet or healthy eating, as it contains sour cream and sugar.
  • Not suitable for children either, because it contains caffeine. For a kid-friendly version of the dessert, replace the espresso with fruit juice and ground grains and chocolate chunks with pieces of fruit and nuts.
  • It is best to use a strong coffee, rich in Robusta, so that our dessert has a strong coffee flavor.
We use whole yogurt, for a richer taste - it's not a light dessert anyway!
  • The ground coffee offers a pleasant crunchy element, but also makes the presence of coffee a little more intense. If we think we don't like him, we can easily miss him.
  • For a larger quantity, just double the proportions.

Summer means, among other things, frozen, delicious desserts - and what better than a Frozen Yoghurt that borrows its aromas from our favorite espresso!
