Lazy Chef's Sweet with Coffee Aromas

Easy, fast and delicious!

There are times when we want to prepare a dessert, without disturbing the kitchen and without declaring a candidacy for Bake Off Greece. Whether we are talking about an afternoon lick or a dessert that will close a relaxed meal with friends, confectionery does not have to be complicated.

Fortunately, there are a number of such desserts, prepared immediately and with simple ingredients. Most of them utilize the cookies we have run out of and some kind of cream (pastry, yogurt, etc.) or jelly. The very popular "lazy girl's dessert" with pastry cream, jelly and cookies is one such example, as well as various yogurt desserts.

We named our dessert "Lazy Chef's Sweet" and it is naturally full of aromas and coffee flavor. It consists of cookies and a light cream that resembles ice cream or semifreddo, but its secret is hidden in the game that makes the mouth velvety and crunchy, something that makes it reminiscent of classic retro sweets such as Alaska, Armenoville or Pavlova.

 

What do we need for the "Lazy Chef's Dessert" with coffee aroma?

5 tablespoons instant coffee
1 can of sweetened condensed milk
2 cups cream
Digestive cookies
1 tablespoon honey
Nuts & chocolate pieces


How do we prepare the Lazy Chef's Dessert?

Beat
the cream in a bowl very well, until it tightens
Add the milk and continue beating
Add three teaspoons dissolved in a little water
Dissolve the other two teaspoons in water, in which we dip our cookies
Put the cookies in a deep pyrex, creating a layer.
Add the mixture of sour cream and sugar on top of the cookies, sprinkle with nuts and pieces of chocolate
Repeat with as many layers as our pyrex fits or until we run out of materials.
Cool in the freezer. Before serving, place the cake for a short time in the refrigerator or at room temperature. Instead of syrup, pour a little honey


Tips for quick and easy Lazy Sweet

In the recipe we used digestive, but you can use whatever cookies you have available, even if they are different from each other.
You need to be careful how you dip our cookies in coffee. They must absorb all the aromas, without soaking, because we will end up with a cake with a muddy texture.
The secret of the dessert is the play between the velvety cream and the crunchyness offered by the nuts and the pieces of chocolate, so we are not sparing in them!
If you want to reduce the sweetness of our dessert (but also its calories) replace half the amount of sweetened milk with regular evaporated milk.
Be sure to take the dessert out of the freezer a little while before serving. The texture of the cream should be reminiscent of semifreddo.
Do not stress if your layers do not succeed. These kinds of sweets are just as charming even if they are a bit "messy".

 

And the… lazy have a soul! Biscuits, coffee and two or three ingredients are still enough for a delicious dessert that has nothing to envy from other, more luxurious desserts.
