When considering a "healthy diet", coffee is definitely not one of the first things that cross one’s mind. Stereotypically identified with an unhealthy lifestyle, unfairly demonized for causing various health problems, coffee health benefits had not been acknowledged until recently. 

The benefits stemming from coffee consumption can leave even the most fanatical coffee lovers speechless. The following nine points, to which all modern scientific studies converge, include the wide range of coffee’s beneficial properties to  the human body.

 

  1. Coffee improves brain function, short-term memory, mood and reflexes, while it can also has anti-depressant qualities.
  2. Coffee activates metabolism and is one of the few natural substances that help fat burn.

Health Benefits from Coffee Consumption

 

The above points are valid as long as coffee consumption is kept within a logical basis (1 to 3 cups per day). Although it is extremely difficult to get food poisoning for coffee alone (23 liters of coffee are need for a severe poisoing ), it is certain that over consumption can cause unwanted symptoms such as stomach complaints and insomnia.


It is also important to remember that in order to enjoy the health benefits of coffee, we have to be certain about its quality.
