Winter wants the kitchen to be flooded with beautiful, comfort scents, and orange, one of the pre-eminent winter fruits, is a favorite winter scent. How can we combine the wonderful aroma of orange with our favorite drink, coffee, for unforgettable mornings?

Orange Coffee combines hot, steaming coffee with orange essential oils, as no orange juice is added, but the taste and aroma come from its peel, which is extracted with the coffee. Its aroma is delicate and gentle, it fits perfectly in the festive atmosphere and can transform your mornings, filling the taste.

Even if the combination of coffee and orange seems strange to you, the first sip will convince you!

 

What do we need for Orange Coffee?

30 grams of coarsely ground coffee
350 ml of water
Zest of one orange
Milk & Sugar, at will


How is Orange Coffee prepared?


Heat the water
Place our coffee together with the orange zest in the filter
We extract our coffee
Serve plain, or with sugar and milk


Tips for aromatic Orange Coffees

Extract our coffee either with French Press, or in a Pour Over glass coffee maker or in a dripper, in devices that give us control of the temperature and the extraction time.
The secret is not to leave the orange peel in contact with the hot water for a long time, because it will lose its aroma and become bitter. We want a delicate aroma of orange, and not an overly intense and heavy smell.
Milk and a little sugar go amazingly well, making our coffee reminiscent of a winter dessert.
For an even more filling texture, we can use evaporated milk.
A little cocoa also goes well, as orange and chocolate are a great combination
There is always the easy solution: a few drops of Holy Lama Spice Drops Orange essential oil will easily and quickly give us the flavor we desire!
We prefer aromatic and mild 100% Arabica blends, without strong acidity, so that the flavors blend harmoniously.
