Xmas espresso cocktail, featuring three beloved liquers

Christmas is combined with sweet, festive cocktails ... what happens when we want to combine these drinks with our favorite espresso? 

The Christmas holiday season is combined with a variety of flavors, from the traditional Christmas food and the sweet temptations of the days to the drinks that monopolize the interest these days, and are usually sweet and strongly aromatic. An aromatic liqueur is the perfect closure for every Christmas dinner - or the beginning of a beautiful Christmas evening, according to the habits of each of us.

As fanciful espresso enthusiasts, we sought to combine our passion with the aromas of Christmas: the Christmas Espresso Cocktail has the aromas of three favorite liqueurs and the intensity of an espresso. The bitterswett flavor of Disaronno fits perfectly with the aromas of coffee, while chocolate and coffee liqueurs offer tension in the cocktail.

The recipe and proportions we present are a good basis for cocktails, but from then on, anyone can use their imagination and let the Christmas Spirit guide then: a bunch of wonderful combinations can come out, simply by removing and adding ingredients!

How to prepare an Xmas Espresso Cocktail:

  • In a saucepan, mix your beverages and heat lightly
  • Prepare the espresso, and place it in a glass of Irish Coffee
  • Mix the hot coffee with the beverage mix
  • Garnish with whipped cream and grated chocolate!

 

Tips for Successful Christmas Cocktail Coffee:

  • The quantities of the recipe "give" a full cup of coffee. You can prepare your coffee in a carafe, according to our guests, by multiplying the quantities.
  • Prefer a dark, strong blend of coffee that will give a strong body to your drink.
  • You can decorate your glasses in a Christmas way, putting small edible stars or red sticks on the whipped cream!
  • Do not forget that Xmas Espresso Cocktail is a calorie bomb due to alcohol, whipped cream and chocolate, and it is good to enjoy it with moderation.
  • If you want an other flavor twist, you can skip Disaronno and instead add a little Grand Marnier along with a pinch of nutmeg.
  • You can of course use filter coffee but we have to be sure it's strong enough that its taste is not completely "capped" by our drinks.
  • If you do not want to buy whole bottles for your cellar, we can buy miniature bottles - each one is enough for one cocktail.
  • You can replace the coffee liqueur with a Baileys Irish Cream, for a more creamy effect.
