Ένα ρόφημα γεμάτο με την μαγική και ζεστή ατμόσφαιρα που έχουμε ανάγκη.

If we seek to discover our most beautiful Christmas memories, we will surely find that the tastes and smells occupy an important place in our minds. There is no person who has not associated Christmas with favorite foods, traditional sweets or intoxicating smells. Human nature often associates memories, especially pleasant ones, with these two powerful senses.

As coffee lovers, it is natural to look for festive drinks for these days, with Christmas scents full of sweetness and warmth. Especially this strange Christmas, the festive atmosphere is more necessary than ever, and it is the small details that will make our holidays a little more beautiful, happy and cozy.

Christmas Morning Coffee is ideal for Christmas breakfast, as it will make the house smell like musk, in addition to fresh coffee, and with classic Christmas scents such as orange, cinnamon, clove and nutmeg, while the dates give a comfort note you have not even imagined. Needless to say, Christmas Morning Coffee goes well with melomakarona, kourabiedes and homemade cookies!

What do you need for a morning Christmas Coffee?

4 tablespoons filter coffee
1 cinnamon stick
2 dates, seedless
A pinch of nutmeg
2 cloves
Orange zest
400ml hot water

How do we prepare Christmas Morning Coffee?

 - Mix the coffee with the spices, the orange and the dates cut into small pieces. Leave for a few hours, until the aromas are mixed.
- Brew the coffee in the filter coffee maker we use.
- Let stand for 4-5 minutes, strain and serve with a little sugar and a little milk, as desired.

Tips for fragrant Christmas Morning Coffee

 - You can use whatever filter coffee maker you want, but it is better to set aside our automatic machine and use a machine that gives us complete control over the time and way of extraction, such as a Pour Over coffee maker or a Dripper.
 - Any filter coffee blend can be used, but it is better to choose a light blend with a mild taste, in order to let the spices be heard more. French Coffee Kawa Elite is an ideal choice.
 - Sugar and milk go well with Christmas Morning Coffee, so add as much as you like. For a denser texture, add a little sweetened condensed milk and skip the sugar.
 - The ratio is 1 tablespoon ground coffee per 100 ml of water. For a larger amount, increase accordingly the spices we use.
 - Nutmeg has a special taste - if it is not to your taste, you can skip it. In no case do not use too much, because it will "cap" the other flavors.
 - Instead of orange zest, you can simply use Spice Drops orange extract: four drops correspond to half an orange zest
 - Similarly, you can skip some of the spices and add a few drops of Mulling Spices Extract: they are similar to the spices used in Mulled Wine and are ideal for Christmas days.

Christmas is like spring: if you can't find it, you make it. And all they need is good coffee, some spices, orange, and lots and lots of love. Happy Holidays!
