Edible gold has been known since ancient times, since there are archaeological findings that in Ancient Egypt it was among the privileges enjoyed by the Pharaohs, species from 5000 BC, while Queen Cleopatra was notorious for her love of edible gold, while corresponding habits are also found among nobles of the East (China, India and Japan, among others).
In Europe, edible gold will be discovered by nobles as early as the Middle Ages, as a sign of luxury and wealth, while doctors of the time attribute almost magical properties to it, claiming that it fights inflammation and chronic diseases such as arthritis. In fact, during the Renaissance, the father of modern pharmacy, Paracelsus, manufactured the first medicines from edible gold.

Caffe24K’s blenders were looking for a blend that was sweet and aromatic, that would inspire luxury, but at the same time have a rich taste and a unique aroma. The choice between the finest Arabica origins was a one-way street, so beans from Central and South America were selected. With coffees of recognized quality from Nicaragua, El Salvador and Guatemala, Caffe24k ended up with a delicate and harmonious coffee, with floral aromas and balanced acidity. The medium roasting ensured that all its organoleptic characteristics were emphasized, so that all the aromas and flavors in its fruity and floral palette would stand out as they deserve.
The result is a 100% Arabica blend, suitable for many preparations, as it is great as an espresso but works equally well as a base for a cappuccino or latte.
