Fun, Fantasy and lots and lots of coffee for the wildest carnival
The carnival has fanatical friends and fanatical enemies: one sees it as an opportunity for haval, revelry and a relaxed mood, and another as a kitsch event of dubious aesthetics. We are definitely among the first! Coffee, on the other hand, only has fanatical friends – including us. Do coffee and Halloween go together?
Of course they go together! In disguises, especially when they are handmade and original, there are no limits and limitations. Every disguise becomes even more fun if we are inspired by something we really love – in this case, coffee! Here are five costume ideas, for men and women, boys and girls, young and old, groups and solo carnival-goers, inspired by our favorite drink! Happy Carnival!
Four simple Halloween costumes for coffee lovers
Barista: Simple and easy, unisex outfit that can get you out of trouble and is a great last minute solution. You'll need a white shirt and a barista apron as basic equipment, and from there you can improvise. Beanie, fake tattoo – sleeve on one or both arms, coffee accessories like a press or milk jug, a printed catalog will make your disguise even more believable. For a totally… carnival mood, instead of a paper war, you can throw coffee beans at the other disguised ones!
Take Away Coffee: Another simple and very fun disguise for men and women, which can be created "from scratch", without requiring many materials or accessories. Simply form a large glass of Take – Away Coffee with cardboard, paint it as you like, and wear it over your regular clothes. The lid of the glass can be worn as a hat, and the "brand" of the coffee can be a humorous, Halloween prank. Bonus: dress up your boyfriend or girlfriend… plastic straw, now an endangered species.
Coffee bean: Unisex uniform, original and a bit... unfunny, which is why it's so much fun. Although it is not unlikely that you will find ready-made coffee bean costumes, especially on Chinese websites, it is a costume that can be easily made without special sewing knowledge, either by taking brown fabric or by remaking a related costume. Pay attention to the shape of the grain and get your hands on corresponding accessories for a guaranteed slab.
Mexican / Brazilian: Carnival costumes of this type may now be considered (at best) caricatures, but carnival always has more elastic boundaries and accommodates anything, as long as it is done in a good-hearted mood. With a coffee sack, a poncho, a beanie and a sombrero we have a Mexican coffee producer ready to go, while a vintage dress, an afro hairstyle, gold hoops and some related accessories (like a coffee bean necklace) will transform any woman in exotic beauty taken from vintage cafe advertisement.
The essentials for any carnival are a good mood and good company - but a costume full of humor and ingenuity, like the ones above, will certainly help the Halloween spree!
