by coffees.gr

The aroma of coffee is definitely one of our favorite smells. With our handmade coffee candles, our home smells freshly made coffee at every moment!

The smell of coffee is, by no doubt, one of the most pleasant smells that exist. Even those who are not among the coffee enthusiasts will agree that the aroma of freshly-roasted coffee beans or freshly brewed coffee is particularly enjoyable. How could we have a home that beautifies fresh coffee without having to brew coffee constantly? Of course, with handmade aromatic candles with coffee aroma!

Aromatic candles are an easy, inexpensive and healthy way to flavor our space. Although aromatic candles with a wide variety of fragrances are marketed, the smell of coffee is not among the usual choices of aromatic candles. However, it is extremely easy to create our own aromatic candles with coffee aroma, so our room always smells like having our coffee maker open all the time! The process is extremely easy and cost-effective, since it uses the residuals of candles we have at home and ordinary, ground coffee, and it is not necessary to use specialized tools.

All you need is a little attention due to the nature of the materials and especially the high temperatures, a little bit of taste and of course, strong coffee!

What will we need for handmade candles with coffee aroma?

  • Leftover candles
  • An aluminum can of beer or can, with its top cut
  • A kettle
  • Ground coffee
  • Coffee beans
  • Glass jars
  • Bunch of wicks

How are handmade aromatic coffee candles made?

  • Collect the used candles in the aluminum box
  • Fill the pot with water
  • Put the aluminum box in the boiling water so the candles melt in a mar mar
  • Mix gently so that candles melt completely. After a few minutes, you should have your casserole containing only liquid, not pieces of candles.
  • Add the ground coffee, and stir until it dissolves
  • Pour some coffee beans into the mix (for decoration reasons)
  • Allow to cool slightly, and pour carefully into the glass jars
  • Add the wicks
  • Wait for our candles to cool completely, in a shady and cool place.

Tips for  Better Aromatic Candles:

  • The The remains of the candles we use should be odorless and not from aromaticcandles.
  • Ideally, we use white candles, as with the addition of espresso our aromatic candles will be brown. We can use candles of different colors, but the end result will be dull and unspecified.
  • Pay attention to the aluminum box, the edges may be sharp and there is a risk of injury.
The candle as it melts develops a particularly high temperature, as well as the aluminum box. To avoid burns, only touch the box with special kitchen pens or, even better, wear special gloves.
  • The process is very easy, but because of its nature it is good for children to stay away while preparing your fragrant candles.
  • There is no proper dosage, as the more coffee you use, the stronger the smell of the candles will be.
  • There is no reason to use fine, expensive coffee for making candles. It is better to use a cheap blend or, why not, use old, stale coffee.
  • Ypu can pour the hot candle into molds for a prettier effect - a coffee bean-shaped mold would be the ideal!

Your home can always smell with the soothing and toning smell of freshly made espresso - light up your handmade aromatic candles, immerse yourself in the magic aromas of coffee and (why not) prepare an espresso!. It is certain that aromatic candles will open your appetite!
