Καλωσορίζουμε την άνοιξη όπως τις αξίζει, με τον πιο νόστιμο παγωμένο καφέ!

Despite the tricks of the weather, spring is really on the horizon - and that always means a little change in our daily habits. Lighter dressing, lighter mood, trips, and of course, different coffee. Pre-made frozen coffees, which in Greece have a very loyal and fanatical audience, enjoy until the end of autumn.

While it may sound simple, proper cold coffee brewing can be a headache for an amateur home barista, since iced coffee can easily lose its flavor and aroma, and can end up tasteless and tasteless. For this reason, we've put together some simple tips for enjoying delicious iced coffee to welcome the coming spring.

Tips for delicious iced coffee!

Blend matters: Whether you love Freddo Espresso or Freddo Cappuccino, choosing the right blend is crucial to a truly enjoyable iced coffee. For cold preparations, you need blends with a strong body so that they do not "swell" and lose their coffee flavor due to dilution. The solution to this problem is Robusta high blends.

Even if we are ardent lovers of aromatic Arabica, the fact is that the absence of 100% Arabica blends tends to give poor results to cold coffee. Espresso blends with a Robusta content of 30% or 40% retain the tasty complexity offered by Arabica and at the same time "shield" the coffee body, so that it retains its flavor and aroma, despite the cold water and the addition of ice. Blends like Buondi Premium, Hausbrandt TriesteLavazza Gold Selection or Buondi Gold and Lavazza Super Crema are safe options for unforgettable Freddo Espresso and Freddo Cappuccino.

Server with coffee ice cubes: This style of serving originated in America's hipster coffee, but is slowly spreading and gaining ground even among amateur baristi. One of the long-standing problems of iced coffees is the constant thinning of the coffee due to the melting ice, which causes us to end up with anemic-flavored drinks. But if we make ice cubes of coffee, our iced coffee is enriched as the ice melts, rather than diluted.

Of course, it goes without saying that our ice cubes must be made from the same blend as our main coffee, so as not to confuse the flavors and aromas, but also that we should pay attention to caffeine, as the ice cubes rise, as is normal, the total amount of caffeine in our beverage. A simple and easy recipe for coffee ice cubes can be found here.

Try Cold Brew: The ultimate trend in frozen coffee in recent years seems to have come to stay - and it's gaining its own fan base in Greece as well. The absence of bitterness, its natural sweetness combined with the fact that it is extremely easy to prepare at home, and even in large quantities for days, make Cold Brew an ideal choice for spring and summer.

A simple and easy recipe for cold brew coffee can be found here, while tips and tips that will make our coffee have nothing to envy from an up-to-date coffee shop are concentrated here.

Experiment with different recipes: Certainly, our favorite Greek frozen coffees are without a doubt Freddo Espresso and Freddo Cappuccino, and less the old and beloved frappe - however, entering the era of iced coffee, there is no reason to experiment with iced coffee. Café Helado from Chile marries instant coffee with ice cream, Portuguese Mazagran has refreshing lemon aromas, Espresso Tonic is one of the most hip cafes in the world, while Thai local specialties combine cold coffee with tea, milk and spice.

The variety is truly endless, and every coffee lover, after experimenting with it, can find the flavors that suit him. The only sure thing is we will never get bored, with so many recipes for cold coffee.

Coffee is said to be science - something that is definitely true for cold coffee. But with the hand-to-hand tips and the right blends, we have nothing to fear, and will welcome spring as it deserves.
