A few kilometers south of Rome, a family-run business has been searching for the best espresso for forty years!
In search of the perfect espresso blend, every coffee fanatic meets endless blends in his path. This passion for the quest for good coffee is also the driving force behind an Italian company that has been passionately serving the authentic Italian espresso for forty years: O'Ccaffee!
O'Ccaffee was started in the early 1980s by the Vivenzio brothers. The two brothers, fanatics of the good espresso, started their little brewery in Italvi, south of Rome, in order to make the perfect espresso blend: the blend they couldn't find anywhere in the shops they used to visit.
The company's journey has brought many trips to the four corners of the horizon, in search of coffee and its secrets, and the experience quickly translates into know-how. Today, this spirit of experience and knowledge is passed on to the second generation of the company, to the Vivenzio cousins , the sons of the founders of O'Ccaffe, who continue their parents' work unabashedly: designing blends they would like to enjoy themselves.
From the best producers to skilful roasting: the secrets of O'Ccaffee.
At O'Ccaffee, the journey to the perfect espresso blend begins with the search for the best raw material - that is, the search for the best Arabica and Robusta varieties that will give O'Ccaffee blends their unique character. The people of the company have built trust relationships with the producers they work with, and they are always looking for the best coffee in two of the world's largest coffee markets. Arabica beans are bought from the New York coffee market, while Robusta beans are from the London market. O'Ccaffee's blends hide in the grains coming from Africa (Ethiopia, Uganda), Latin America (Brazil, Guatemala, Honduras, Colombia, Peru) and Southeast Asia (India, Vietnam); throughout the "Coffee Belt".
O'Ccaffe's big secret, this makes her espresso blends stand out, is hidden in the roasting of the beans. O'Ccaffe roasters have the motto "the fragrance is a creature with wings", meaning that the coffee beans need attention and special treatment in order to unfold their aromas. Green coffee is roasted at low temperature for about 20 minutes, with the help of hot air, resulting in the beans unfolding their unique flavors to the maximum, while the characteristic "bitter" of coffee is significantly reduced. It's a process that needs attention and experience, but nothing stops O'Ccaffee's team from creating the perfect espresso blend.
